What’s a subtle sign someone is rich?
Anyone can rack up debt and buy an expensive car or expensive bag.
How can you tell if someone is truly, but quietly, very wealthy?

No offense, but the rich always look like they are from the Hampton or Connecticut. Shoulder length hair, not parted, very basic clothing, but check out the shoes-these are usually a dead giveaway.
Agree re soaps although some of us are frauds. I'd say the weight of their credit card. If it's got some heft, it's got a high limit and probably an even higher annual free. Rich hunney!
The harder it is to find their trash can the more expensive the house is
Go grocery shopping with them. If they pick all the fanciest stuff without a second thought, they're rich.
This might be weird but if someone has like very expensive hand creams or lip balms, that they just have rolling around in their purse. Like not bath and body works ones, not even L'occitane. I'm talking like ricccch ones that you buy at SAKS or Nordstroms.
Hand soap. If they have Aesop or Malin + Goetz in their bathroom, they’ve got $$$.
I didn't know a friend of mine came from money until we were cooking together. He couldn't open a can of soup.
Not only did he not know how to use a can opener -- he had never even seen one before.
He explained to me that, growing up, he had "people" for that.
So if you want to test people money, maybe roll em a can of Campbells and see how they handle it?
Travel. When someone tells me they are taking a quick trip to Italy or heading out to Aspen for a week during the winter, you know they got some cabbage. Or even more secretive, they don't tell you where you're going, you just see beach pics on Instagram.
