There's only one right answer. And it's Samoas (or sometimes known as Caramel Delights in different regions of the country). Close second is Peanut Butter Patties.
But sure, go ahead and tell me how "good" "thin mints" "are" "when you put them in the freezer."
You get to choose your final meal, but there are parameters: You can only have one app, one main dish, one dessert, and one drinks.
All these things can come from different places.
What do you pick?
(For all your choices, provide links to recipes or where you can eat them if you can!)
I am mayo-obsessed. I could put it on anything (and usually do). If I see an aioli (fancy mayo) on a menu within any food item, I usually ask the restaurant for a side of it so I can try it — even if it doesn't go with my meal. Yum! Mayo!
I know other people LOATHE mayo. I don't get it! Is it the color? The texture? The taste? With that said, I think those of you who LOVE tomatoes (or honestly, even eat tomatoes) have questionable life choices.
I know pickles, cilantro (aka soap), blue cheese, candy corn, etc., are all controversially loved/hated. What is your hottest food take?
Half the fun of going to the movies are the things that aren't the actual movie, including (nay, especially) the snacks. I have my set standard of snacks, which are popcorn, Junior Mints and the largest Diet Coke allowed by law.
Occasionally I will switch things I'm feeling adventurous and get pretzel bites or a frozen Coke, but 90% of the time its my OG lineup of snacks. So what do you eat/drink at the movies? I promise I won't snitch if you sneak them in, either!
What's a major food brand that you buy literally every week? You don't mind your supporting a major corporation with your purchase because you simply cannot live without their product.
For me, it's Triscuits. It's my go to snack and goes with both savory and sweet foods. I don't care about their nutritional value, because I need that crunch when I'm in a snacky mood.
What's your big brand food you need every week?
I am not really a coffee drinker so I can’t tell a good cup from a bad cup. But one thing I’ve heard from two snooty coffee lovers are that any single serve coffee — including k-cups — are never good. Does coffee need to be brewed from A pot to be just right?
I'm from NYC, so it's pizza and bagels and just about everything else you can dream up. But I'm obsessed with hyper-regional foods like tomato pie in Philly, muffuletta in New Orleans and hot chicken in Nashville, so I wanna hear all about the foods you grew up with and hold near and dear to your heart.
With the weekend almost upon us, let's talk about brunch. What is one brunch food or drink that is just a classic item that always comes to the table when you're with your friends but you absolutely despise?
For me, it's mimosas. Way too sweet and I'm not ready for champagne in the morning. Not for me and if I'm hungover, the smell alone makes me want to gag. UGH.
Two of my favorite things in the world are banana cake and Dolly Parton so imagine my joy when I found out she made her own line of mix for Duncan Hines. The only problem is I cannot freakin' find this cake mix AN-Y-WHERE. I have been able to find the coconut mix, but I am NOT a fan of coconut so I can't bring myself to buy it. I would love to make the cake with her chocolate frosting: https://www.duncanhines.com/dolly-parton
Have any of you been able to find the banana cake mix anywhere? If so, have you made the cake? How was it? I'm jealous! Save me a piece, please!
You will need:
1 can chickpeas. Drained.
1 chopped red onion
1 chopped cucumber
2 cups chopped tomato
1 handful of sunflower seeds
Feta cheese, if you want.
Roasted beets, if you want. Chopped.
Couple sprigs of cilantro, if you want.
Throw those veggies in a bowl. Pour a couple glugs of olive oil, splash of apple cider vinegar, half a juiced lemon. Or more if you like that lemon flave. Add a bit of honey too. Salt, pep, garlic powder. Mix it all up or shake it around in a big bowl. Get that arm workout.
Serve with warm pita bread, a spoonful or two of greek yogurt and have a GORGEOUS WEDNESDAY.
