I love hearing these things too! I grew up in upstate New York and we had “spiedies” and salt potatoes. I associate both of these things with the summer because salt potatoes were at like every summer festival and Spiedie Fest was in August. Spiedies are essentially just cubed, marinated meat. Also I miss all the pizza from up there too; Nirchi’s pizza for life!!!!

Welllllll, the real “delicacy” of Minnesota is lutefisk, but I don’t think anyone wants to hang with that.

Instead, I’ll go with cheese curds (which we share with Wisconsin) and cheese on a stick (basically a corndog, but, instead of a hot dog, just a bunch of gooey cheese). Man, I miss cheese curds, but not the way my stomach feels after, lol. Still worth it! 

It's not regional to anywhere but my actual home (I don't think, at least), but I used to go HAM on a bowl of Crispix mixed with butter. Like, you toast the cereal on the stove and melt butter on it, put some salt on it, and YUM. It's like popcorn, but a little less healthy.

I'm from NYC, so it's pizza and bagels and just about everything else you can dream up. But I'm obsessed with hyper-regional foods like tomato pie in Philly, muffuletta in New Orleans and hot chicken in Nashville, so I wanna hear all about the foods you grew up with and hold near and dear to your heart.
