Best way to play it cool after a fall?
The other day, I was in front of a Very Important Person, and of course that’s the time I tripped and fell.
And I realized I don’t know how to fall charmingly. Like, how does one recover from a fall and still seem cool in the eyes of present company? Is there something I should say? A way I should play it?
How do I play it cool?

I would honestly just laugh it off! I feel like if you make it funny then it's not as bad.
I would recommend watching some vaudeville, and learning from the best. Practice at home, so, the next time it happens, you're ready to fall, but — aha! — are you really falling, or just doing a show-stopping fall to a somersault, and ta-da! Throw me your flowers!
Ignore it. Act like it never happened. There’s no video proof that it happened. So did it even happen? Why would you talk about something that never happened
Oh, there is no way. Have you ever seen someone fall and think, "Hey, smooth, they handled that well?" It cannot be done.
That’s rough. I honestly think someone who makes a fall charming / cute is worse than someone who just takes it on the chin and moves on. Everyone will forget about it quicker! Sorry that happened to you!
Ugh, the worst. Can you pretend to look for a contact? Tie a shoelace? Will be checking back here for more advice because I can never do it gracefully.
I wish I could tell you there was a way to play it cool. But that's super embarrassing and I think you can just never see that person ever again! Sorry, but that's showbiz! Anyone who tells you there's a charming way to fall is lying. And anyone who says "But J Law at the Oscars!" Nope — that was also very embarrassing!
