As someone who largely identifies as a man but squints his eyes very narrowly at gender roles/assumptions/stereotypes/general nonsense, I can firmly say "I have no idea."

The perfect question. My guess is that it’s because their voices are boomier and they’re hairier. Those two things must make them feel things. 

The simple answer is: because they can. When a world is built for them and by them, they feel like they can do whatever they want. That's changing though. Slowly but surely, that is changing.

In many ways, I agree - why are they like that? Why am I like this? 

I don't quite understand why I make those decisions. Yet I do.
