Oh yeah, Winnetka is wealthy. I would LOVE a Chicago Housewives — there's so much wealth there, and, yet, it feels. different from the wealth in the other cities, so I think it would fit in perfectly. I kind of wish they were choosing people in the city themselves (since the suburbs might end up giving it more of a RHOC vibe), but I'm still in!

It’s not surprising that Winnekta was picked - it has a lot of “old money”. I actually think it may align more with New York on that “new money talks, old money whispers” instead of RHOC mentioned in another comment - but def will be a more suburb vibe.

City folks would be interesting, but Chicago doesn’t have a large amount of socialites that actually live in the city - moreso wealthy suburb folks who have a city apt for the weekends.

Yeah if it's Winnetka, they'll bill it as RHOChi and that would be GREAT. Think Mean Girls / Plastics. That's the inspo! Plenty of social circle / competition / drama to get into! 

Interesting. I’m not sure I can get hype for more American housewives. The formula is getting a little stale and the cast is just too in on being famous. That said, I’ll let all that slide for real housewives of Dubai. I cannot wait to see what living there is like and what the group dynamics will be. 

For years there’s been ramblings about a real housewives franchise then Salt Lake City was announced. But according to B&C blind items we may be finally getting a Real Housewives of Chicago….sorta. Apparently a group of women have been filming in a place called Winnetka and one of the women wrote in with a ‘tip’ that they’ve been filming under a generic name but they’re told they’re going to be the next Housewives franchise. Usually, I wouldn’t think twice but since people have been basically begging for a Chicago franchise/coupled with the fact that I heard Winnetka is a very rich$$$ town outside of Chicago and there’s tv gold in the unknown parts of America - I might believe this one. Would you be here for a RHOW? If not, what city would you want to see a new franchise in?
