When Was 'Bachelor In Paradise' 2021 Filmed? It's All About That Hot Covid Summer

When the days start getting longer, and the temperatures start getting hotter, that's when you know it's time for Bachelor in Paradise to start filming. As the hottest, most chaotic series in the Bachelor franchise, BiP literally could not take place any time other than the summer. Not even in the times of COVID. Them's the rules.

According to various reports Bachelor in Paradise filmed for three weeks in June of 2021, months after Katie Thurston's Bachelorette season finished filming in late April. As for the exact dates, we know that filming on Season 7 of BiP ended before July 8, when the BiP cast was announced. (That same day, Joe Amabile and Natasha Parker returned to their Bachelor Nation podcast Click Bait to tease the new season, and they were both very obviously not in Mexico.) And based on a spoiler post on Reddit, BiP officially began shooting sometime around June 7, which would mean they ended in the last week of June.

This June 7-end of June timeline tracks with some BiP alums' Instagram absences. Cast member Jessenia Cruz has a significant gap between Instagram posts from May 29 to July 8, when her BiP casting was announced. Serena Pitt took a similar Instagram break, with no new posts between May 26 and July 1. That said, the Instagram pause isn't always a dead giveaway. Connor Brennan, for example, was uploading constantly throughout BiP filming, though that probably has more to do with the fact that he was actively on Katie's season, and not being active on Instagram would have been a dead giveaway that he did not get the final rose. Plus, it's believed that contestants can pre-schedule posts or leave their accounts in the hands of trusted friends to upload in their absence so as to avoid spoilers. (Becca Kufrin also posted throughout June, despite appearing on Paradise.)

Now that we know when Bachelor in Paradise was filmed, the real question is: are any of the couples still together? What might have felt like love two months ago in Mexico could now just be bitterness in quarantine. Honestly, I would watch that follow-up.
