After watching Katie Thurston's dramatic journey to find love, I'm ready for some new blood. For the first time in Bachelor history, there will be two seasons of The Bachelorette before the franchise dives back into The Bachelor, but that doesn't mean there will be any rest for Bachelor Nation. A new season of Bachelor in Paradise is kicking off just a week after Katie's Bachelorette season wraps, and Michelle's season of The Bachelorette is set to premiere Tuesday, Oct. 19.
According to initial reports, producers decided to go with two Bachelorettes in a row because Michelle didn't want her Bachelorette filming to take her away from the classroom — she's a fifth grade teacher. So, they filmed Katie's season first, with Michelle taking over in the summer. Her season is currently being filmed —Bachelor producer Mike Fleiss shared a first look of Michelle on set Aug. 7, which means she should find love before the 2021-2022 school year begins.
Michelle's season of The Bachelorette might be underway, but so far no official cast has been announced — though a preliminary group of potential suitors was released in July. All we know for sure is that Michelle will be there, Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe will be back as hosts, and one of her dates will involve basketballs. As long as Greg Grippo doesn't show up with his resting sad face, I'm ready for it all.
