Fake Florist Drama --> Winter House ?!
So the last two episodes we watch Kyle kind of meltdown due to the fact they have a lot do for this wedding that is in 3 weeks, including have to get a florist because their florist dropped out at the last minute. Well... according to the DeuxMoi of Bravo, @bravoandcocktails, they are saying, allegedly of course, that this was all a lie and rouse to get us invested in the flowers so that they could showcase the designer at the wedding.
The florist is "Dearest Rachel".
But that's not at all. I'm now hearing that this designer is also going to be on... you guessed it, the second season of Winter House...
I don't know, I know things are not always as they appear on shows, but this one kind of bothers me because it's such lie and so orchestrated. What do you think?
It feels very old school VPR and Summer House - introducing a new cast mate / spin off on one show, then transitioning to seeing them on the next and new show. I don’t like it.
So is Rachel supposed to come in and save the day? Found her on IG https://www.instagram.com/dearest.rachel/?hl=en -- Kyle, Amanda, and Ciara follow her.
It does feel like a bummer, I agree! And I even assume most of it is "storyboarded" but yeah, for some reason, this stings?? I guess it's because I feel actually invested in Kyle's stress haha and to hear that some of it is allegedly made up makes me feel silly for caring about his well-being. And for ordering Loverboy.
Yeah it's def a faked storyline, just like the pre-nup, but I don't really care? I'm barely invested in the florist storyline so to me, it doesn't make much of a difference if it's real or not.
I definitely find some truth to it bc as everyone else mentioned why did the florist back out and also how convient that the new florist is now a cast member on Winterhouse 2 🧐 got me kinda side eying them.
What was strange to me was that they seem to have a very involved wedding planner based on the scenes they’ve shown. Obviously don’t know what kind of package they have with her but I would assume she helps with vendor management since they knew they’d be filming ahead of the wedding so why weren’t they like “we need to get the planner on the phone” and work with her?
I think they could’ve come up with a better way to promote the florist if this is all true. Maybe have Amanda mention how the only thing she has done are the flowers and they are everything she wanted and more and showcase them when her parents visited. Because now people are wondering who canceled on them last minute so they don’t hire them? All very weird
One thing they haven't talked about is WHY the florist backed out, which feels sus to me. And they've largely been using the same language over and over again, almost as if they rehearsed the story. And though they say they're concerned, they really don't SEEM it. Like, if it really happened, where's the scene of them pouring over the computer looking for other options?
I think it’s very rare for a vendor to back out that last-minute… especially when they know the couple is semi-famous. Vendors live and die by referrals, so it seems like it would have to be a really bad florist who doesn’t care about their future to back out.
