Real Housewives of Miami is my favorite franchise on right now. Nothing thaaaat serious is happening, but everyone has a riveting personal storyline while also making me laugh every single episode. I can't get enough. I wake up every Thursday morning so excited to sit down with my cup of coffee and watch these women drink mojitos and drive expensive cars. But I want to protect them from toxic fandom that is the Bravo fan. I love that this show feels exclusive, a special little secret club that only us premium Peacock watchers are a part of. Maybe that is selfish but I don't care.
She is a fascinating woman who has lived 1,000 lives. Whenever they show one of her kids, I'm like, I need to know so much more about them! I think she should stand a 30 min spinoff, or at least, a "Before They Were Housewives" treatment. Remember that one-hour special they did on LuAnn? We could use a two hour special on Julia. Topics to address:
- her upbringing
-her modeling days
- her time as Miss USSR
- her three baby daddies
- her three children
- that horrific story of her nanny killing her infant son
- what it's like being an open gay woman in her culture(s)
- how she met Martina
- what her relationship is really like with Martina
- how she met Adriana
Their real ages:
What I would have guessed:
Kiki, complete an utter mystery
Most of those women appear young because they act so immature, especially Adrianna. But if drama keeps you young, I’m gonna pick more fights asap.
I think the flirtation between Julia and Adriana is totally unacceptable and if I were Martina, I'd be embarrassed and pissed. Do they have an open relationship? Does anyone know what the deal is? I really hope Martina gets some air time at the reunion to share her thoughts after watching this season. I want them both to be happy, but I need to hear from Martina that she's cool with what Julia does behind her back.
Shout out Bravo producers for finally -- finally! -- finding and casting the best new Housewife we've ever had: Dr. Nicole of RHOM. She has. it. all.
- Everyone knows that anesthesiologists have swagger, and Dr. Nic is no exception.
- Her parental drama is real and authentic
- Her marriage seems great, which sets us up for a fun ride ahead as we watch....
- She is SO rich, and knowing that she's got her own career makes it so fun to watch her enjoy this insane lifestyle that her husband mostly pays for. I mean, there's doctor-rich, then there's "Insurance Man"-rich.
- She listens to producers when they tell her to send Larsa a shady mirror
- She stands up for herself
- She has great confessional looks (love the hot pink and black lewk)
- She has a fantastic accent
- She's stunning
More Housewives like Nicole, please!! Especially the career part. It just makes her so much more interesting!
I was getting all mad at Lenny because I felt like he was being a total ass…and then Alexia’s mom dies. I mean, we all knew it happened because it was last year…but I still felt myself tearing up!!
Apparently Lisa & Lenny Hochstein are splitting after almost 15 years of marriage.... after watching the latest season of RHOM I can't say I'm upset by this. BUT it gets even juicer.
According to Page Six, Lenny "was spotted partying with model Katharina Mazepa at a Miami club. While he denied breakup rumors at the time, the outlet reported that Lisa, 39, and costar Larsa Pippen confronted him at the club." !!! Lenny is saying that he didn't start seeing the 26 year old model until AFTER they made the decision to get divorced....uh huh. We also have to remember Lenny's "emotional affair" that Lisa talks about on S4.
While I'm sure this is very painful for Lisa... I think she will be better off in the long run. He seemed to be very checked out of their relationship. I hope we get to see Larsa AND Lisa out on the town in Season 5.
It is rare to find a housewife like Alexia... she is stunning, strong, funny, self-aware, and outspoken. She is everything I want a housewife to be, and I will now be looking to her as my lighthouse for my gold star standards in housewives. That is all. I love her sm.
So in part 1 of the reunion Bravo pointed out that RHOM had been off the air for 8 years. Then they showed what the cast members looked like in 2014, right next to their 2022 faces. How did you feel about this?? It made me SO uncomfortable because while some of the women look the same...some of them look unrecognizable. *AHEMLARSAAHEM* And I'm all for getting plastic surgery if that's what you want to do, but some of them were like, nope, no work done here and didn't want to talk about it! I felt like they were trying to out them into being like, SEE YOU HAD WORK DONE.
Thoughts? Did it make you cringe?
Just some initial thoughts on the reunion, particulary, how over all of this is Andy? It seemed like he wanted to set Lisa on fire for being a little bit late. Later, when Adriana asked if she could bring her boyfriend out, his deadpan, "No," was not a joke, it was a threat.
And what about bringing these women to New York and then making them walk THROUGH THE SNOW to the set. Why not just fly Andy to Miami and do it at the real Versace mansion!
Overall though the reunion was fun. I was not here for Alexia saying that the domestic abuse charge against her son is fake. It may be, but Andy brings up his history of violence and Alexia brushes it off. "I'm not trying to justify everything..." she says about her son. Um, yes. That is EXACTLY what you are doing and might be why he is like he is!
