So many good actors, such a great director... how did that movie go so, so wrong?

Saoirse Ronan in The Lovely Bones. I know Stanley Tucci got the nod for that AWFUL movie, but she carries the damn thing. 

Besides the obvious (I speak of Justin Guarini in From Justin To Kelly, of course), what’s the best performance you’ve seen in a bad movie?
