As a humble American, I've had my fun making gross generalizations about the U.S.'s neighbor to the north. Hockey, maple syrup, Canadian tuxedos, Degrassi, Tim Hortons, etc. But with the COVID-19 pandemic not allowing Blake's Canada hometown date to actually be in Canada, it seems The Bachelorette team also relied on classic Canadian stereotypes. Which, whatever, Blake seemed fine with it. So why would I, an American, have a problem with it? Well, maybe because it was pretty much the same exact "Canada" hometown date Serena P. had with Matt James on The Bachelor... which begs the question — has anyone on the Bachelor production team ever been to Canada?
Both Blake and Serena are from the Ontario province of Canada. But one would think The Bachelor would have had an easier time making the Nemacolin Resort in Pa. an approximation of Canada than the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort in N.M. Yet, no matter the American setting of these fake Canadian hometowns, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette hit on the same points of the eleven-pointed maple leaf. Can you spot the difference between these Canadian hometown dates?

Trivia
Serena asked Matt facts about Canada while Blake and Katie played more a truth or dare about themselves. But still, Canadians must love to learn??
