The Real Housewives of Miami reboot is giving us everything we want from a franchise – jaw-dropping storylines, opulent parties, and plenty of in-fighting and drama. Every episode is also a stark reminder that Miami is the plastic surgery capital of the world. With 18 plastic surgeons for every 100,000 residents over the age of 18, Miami’s moniker “Magic City” could easily apply to the wizardry that is wielded by doctors and their scalpels.

In Housewives world there is a running joke about the “glow up” every Housewife has in her sophomore season. No matter how confident one may be, after self-scrutinizing and being scrutinized by the audience during the first season, it’s normal to see a head to toe makeover reappear in the second. But the Miami Housewives are no rookies.

RHOM was off the air for eight years after its cancellation, and like someone who has been dumped but now has a chance to see their ex again, it’s no surprise the women put their best faces (and bottoms) forward when the reboot was confirmed.

Even before the new season premiered, a clip from the teaser trailer that centered around Larsa Pippen’s perfectly sculpted ass went viral. Adriana de Moura yells across the table “that she came back (to the group) with a butt as big as Kim Kardashian.”

Larsa has never admitted to having any plastic surgery, which is surprising considering that Miami is a place where the stigma of going under the knife for vanity doesn’t really exist. However, most of the Miami Housewives have been forthright about the work they’ve had done and it almost seems as if they all followed a template to morph into the “Miami Look.”
