Premium- Vanderpump Rules -Would You Watch A 'Vanderpump Babies' Spinoff?
Maybe it's the fact that we've been in a weird coronavirus TV desert, or it's a maternal instinct, but I think I'm ready for a Vanderpump Rules babies spinoff. At this point, I'd be totally happy if Season 9 was just all babies, no SURvers. Like a live-action Rugrats, only with much more dramatic parents.
Pump Rules is basically evolving into a family reality show, thanks to the baby craze taking over SUR. They might as well lean into it! Series regulars, Lala Kent and Scheana Shay both welcomed baby girls that will reportedly be featured on the show's upcoming season. Not to mention recent cast offs and new moms Brittany Cartwright and Stassi Schroeder, who, despite being let go from the show with a past of problematic behavior, are still in touch with the other new SUR moms. "We talk every day," Brittany told Us Weekly, revealing she has two mom-themed group chats with her former co-stars. "We all just bounce things off each other." And Brittany, Stassi, and Lala have already had some Pump Rules playdates with their newborns.
I know what you're thinking, is it possible to do a Vanderpump baby show without Brittany/Jax and Stassi? It would be weird, not to mention inappropriate, for Bravo to fire them after years of controversial behavior, only to invite them back because of their cute offspring. And, good news, Bravo wouldn't need to. Despite swearing in 2020 that she would "never" be friends with Lala or Stassi again, Scheana is included on the Pump Rules mom chats. And, per Brittany, bonding over new motherhood has helped her overcome some of her differences with Lala, which means they could theoretically film a show together in (relative) peace. Plus, based on a short Season 9 clip, Katie Maloney could be next.
