Never have I ever been so psyched for summer. Not only is the world opening up (peep that opening date on June 15 for LA, which includes the Valley, where Never Have I Ever is set), but also we're getting more of the (mis)adventures of Devi Vishwakumar in July. Yup, Never Have I Ever Season 2 is coming. But all I really want to talk about is the love triangle between Paxton and Ben and Devi.
Season 1 ended with Suitor #1 Ben Gross driving Devi to Malibu (even though he's only got a permit!) to make sure she could properly say goodbye to her dad with her family after she'd run away from home and was crashing at his palatial house. To Devi's surprise, Ben stayed and waited cliffside, and she was so touched that she kissed him, seemingly teeing up that she was leaning more in the Ben camp, right? Well, that's what I was thinking, but...
In the other corner of the romantic ring is Suitor #2, Paxton Hall-Yoshida, who was giving Devi the brush-off for most of the finale after feeling stung that Devi's mom insulted his intelligence. (When, really, she would have called any guy an idiot who was suspiciously returning her daughter's dress after she was out past curfew at a party.) Paxton's younger sister, Rebecca, is the one who snaps him back to his senses, warning him that if he ignored Devi, then he really would be stupid.
So where does that leave us in Season 2? With a pro/con list, my friends.
It appears that Devi is doing what she does best and laying out the facts when it comes to deciding between Ben and Paxton. Ben's got "smart, challenging, and hella rich" going for him, while Paxton has "face, body, and prolly good at sex" on his side.
They both come with their own cons, too, but I'm more interested to hear where you fall in the Paxton vs. Ben debate. Who should Devi choose in Season 2? Click that green button and let us know!
