Conor C.'s Scat Is The Greatest 'Bachelorette' Moment Maybe Ever

And just like that, Conor C. went from "who is that again?" to "OMG, who is that??" He may not have gotten the coveted one-on-one date, or the group date, or any real screen time at all, really, but what Conor C. did get on Monday's The Bachelorette was a standout moment that made us all stop and say, "Same, dude." And, as a Bachelorette fan, it is my duty to make sure that you don't sleep on Conor C.'s scat, aka maybe my favorite moment in Bachelorette history.

Conor C. is a baseball player who is very cute and seems perfectly nice, but has also basically been relegated to the background at cocktail parties and a few reaction shots. And while he's always peaked my interest — in a "my God, how is it that there are still so many men left that I could not name to save my life" kind of way — he never really grabbed my attention, until the final moments of The Bachelorette's newest episode, when he broke a very uncomfortable silence in the most unexpected, and yet hilarious, way: with a scat.

Everything about this is perfection. From Conor's simple delivery, to Hunter's complete non-reaction despite sitting right next to this genius in action, it's all gold. On Twitter, Conor essentially called it his advice to anyone in awkward social situations. "Just beep bop it out," he said. Fair enough. Though, for the record, official closed captioning on Hulu actually says the noise was less of a "beep bop" and more of a "Nebeh-dop-bop."

The moment is slowly, but surely, gaining traction online, and, to be honest, I'm shocked it hasn't taken over the world yet. The power of those three sounds is just undeniable.

I don't know anything about Conor C., and I don't need to. Any man who makes robot noises in an attempt to fill an awkward silence is a hero in my book. Conor, I salute you.
