That’s assuming he’s in it for the long haul, which is giving him a lot of credit. I feel like most celebrities start businesses for the short-term boon, then sunset them when it’s clear it’s going to become a loss.

He MAY be able to convince a company that there’s enough stickiness for an acquisition, at the very least. And the key is customer retention — if people are buying a pillow (just to say they did) and never coming back, that’s a problem. But if he’s establishing loyalty, then there’s something there. 

It’s like Loverboy for me — I first got it on a lark, but now I keep coming back because it’s legit good. There’s stickiness there, since I’m a forever customer. 

It’s not going to last at all. But I like seeing people happy with the pillows they get! So I guess enjoy the ride 

I remember seeing somewhere that he said he wanted to expand it into a whole home line to include stuff like sheets, comforters, etc which would be smart but like you said he probably had about 3-4 more years on the network so if thats his plan he better get to it.

This employee of SDS says that 90% of the people who shop at the store are Bravo fans. 

So let’s be real. Southern Charm has two or three more seasons, tops. Same with Winter House. I get that his romance with Paige extends his relevancy but Craig’s got three more years max before he’s off the network. 

And let’s also be real about these pillows. They are very clip art. Which is fine but when the novelty wears off, when it’s no longer fun to give your friends Craig pillows for their birthdays, then what happens to the brand?

If 90% of your customers are inevitably going to go away, is their hope for SDS? Sell all them pillows why you can boys! No shame in that game.
