All The Times Carrie Said "And Just Like That" In The Original 'Sex And The City'

Carrie Bradshaw's no Steve Urkel, but she sure loves a catchphrase. Her new calling card is to sign off each episode with an "And just like that..." Though it has replaced her weekly musings for her column, Carrie saying, "And just like that," on Sex and the City has been a staple of the show since the year 1999.

Being the Sex and the City historian that I am, I tracked down each time Carrie uttered, "And just like that" (or the variant, "Just like that") in a voiceover to see if it offered any insight into the revival. (There's also a video of most them courtesy of HBO Max Latin America) While I wouldn't go so far as to say that Carrie's omniscient, there is one Big theme when it comes to, "And just like that."

1. "Just like that, I had made a Saturday night date with Big. In under 30 seconds, we had resuscitated a relationship that had taken six months to die."

Season 2, Episode 5, "Four Women and a Funeral"

Naturally, the very first "just like that," goes to Carrie planning a date with Big. But there's also a reference to death?! Does this mean his death was in the cards since Season 2?!

2. "Just like that, Miranda left Denial."

Season 2, Episode 8, "The Man, The Myth, The Viagra"
