It's starting to get crowded at The Oppenheim Group. After adding Vanessa Villela and Emma Hernan in Season 4, Selling Sunset Season 5 brings on another new agent when 29-year-old Chelsea Lazkani joins the office. The influx of employees leaves newly promoted manager Mary Fitzgerald hinting that any agent not pulling their weight will have to go — and by the end of the season a number of Oppenheim Group agents seemed poised to exit the agency for reasons both personal and professional.
At this stage, it's unclear just how many of the realtors will actually leave the Oppenheim Group behind after a dramatic season finale that found Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim splitting up, Christine testing her bosses' patience, and Vanessa seemingly heading to England to be with boyfriend/now fiancé Nick Hardy. However, that won't stop me from investigating where each realtor stands with the agency at the end of Season 5.
Read on to find out who is definitely still swapping desks at the Oppenheim Group office and who may be looking for a fresh start elsewhere if Netflix officially gives the show a greenlight for Season 6.
Chrishell Stause
After her breakup with Jason, Chrishell confessed to Emma that she's not sure she can continue working with her ex. However, she's still listed as an agent on The Oppenheim Group's official website, and she recently supported Emma at her new listing. In December 2021, a source told Us Weekly that the former couple's professional relationship remains "unharmed," which strongly suggests she hasn't cut ties with the agency.
Christine Quinn
The drama between Christine and the rest of the realtors is out of control in Season 5. In the finale, Mary and Jason set up a meeting to discuss allegations that Christine attempted to bribe one of Emma's clients into not working for her, and she simply doesn't show up. That coupled with her own assertion to pal Chelsea that she could start her own brokerage makes her position with The Oppenheim Group feel precarious at best.
Adding fuel to the rumors that she's left the group behind is an announcement in Forbes that she and husband Christian Dumontet have launched RealOpen, a new venture designed to disrupt the real estate industry by allowing buyers to purchase homes with cryptocurrency. Since the announcement dropped on the same day Season 5 premiered, it certainly feels like Christine is trying to tell fans she's moving on to something new.
Maya Vander
Maya has officially left the agency to spend more time with her East Coast-based family. In December 2021, she suffered a devastating loss when she and husband David Miller's third child was stillborn. Since then she's only reasserted that she wants to focus on her family. In a January interview with The New York Post, she revealed that she's started her own firm in Miami, Maya Vander Group, and she's looking to the future.
"I want to show people how they can get into the business and inspire people to follow their dream," Vander said. "My business in Miami is really doing well. I started my own team here. I have a few girls that work with me. And the market in Miami is great."
Vanessa Villela
After manifesting the love of her life, Vanessa appears to move to London to be with her fiancé, Nick, in the season finale. But there's a twist: according to her Instagram bio, she's still based in Los Angeles. Plus, she was recently at Emma's celebration for her new listing, and there have been approximately zero London-based pictures posted on her IG. All that plus her bio still being up on The Oppenheim Group's website suggests she's still part of the team for now.
Emma Hernan
Never fear Emma fans, the empanada queen is still hard at work for The Oppenheim Group as evidenced by her recent open house and abundance of Selling Sunset-related Instagram posts.
Chelsea Lazkani
Newcomer Chelsea is just getting started. After making a splash by selling a major listing to secure her desk in the office, the newest member of the Selling Sunset family is hard at work for the agency.
Heather Rae El Moussa
Newlywed Heather seems happy with her role at The Oppenheim Group, and unlike some of her coworkers, there have been no rumors that she's exiting the agency or the show.
Davina Potratz
Season 5 is a tough one for Davina, who is having trouble making sells. The agent left the agency once before, and it seemed like she would be leaving again if she didn't prove herself to Mary and Jason soon. Despite clashing with clients, Davina appears to still be working at The Oppenheim Group for now, although she did caption a recent photo of herself at Emma's listing celebration with, "Always fun seeing the ladies." That suggests she hasn't been seeing her coworkers as much as usual... hmmm.
Amanza Smith
Amanza doesn't get up to too much in Season 5, aside from drawing fashion inspiration from the Spice Girls. But despite things being slow on the storyline front, she appears to still be a member of The Oppenheim Group in April 2022.
Mary Fitzgerald
Mary just got a promotion, it's safe to say the group's new manager isn't going anywhere.
With so many agents' futures with the group up in the air, a potential Selling Sunset Season 6 could still serve up some shocking exits.
