Even if you haven't read the Outlander books, you can sense something wicked this way comes with the announcement that the Christie family has arrived at Frasers Ridge. There's a palpable sense of terror and excitement about what the Christies will do in Outlander Season 6, that I have no choice but to rank the trouble they may cause this upcoming season. Warning: Major spoilers ahead for Outlander Book 6.

Jamie and Claire often need no help finding trouble. In fact, they're kind of masters at it. But when it comes to their association with the Christies, it's pretty hard to blame the Frasers for all the bad things that happen. Here's every horrible thing that happens to Jamie and Claire (and Brianna and Roger) due to the actions of the Christies ranked from least offensive to most offensive. Again: Massive book spoiler alert. I really mean this one, guys. Do not read on if you don't want Season 6 potentially very spoiled.

12. Tom Doesn't Want His Hand Operated On

All Claire wants to do is help people, so why do they have to be so g-d difficult about it? Claire wants to perform surgery to fix Tom's Dupuytren's contracture and he blows her off until it gets worse. She's annoyed that he put it off, but don't you worry, Claire gets the job done. And hey, can you blame Tom for being a little scared?
