I really hate to start out by stating the obvious here, but Bravo fans are invested fans. Even cult-like at times. There are so many fan accounts, Facebook groups, "Housewives Twitter"... all dedicated to Bravo shows and the people on them. All of this is to say that I think what bothered a lot of Bravo fans during the last season of Vanderpump Rules is most of us are long-time viewers of every show Bravo puts out, and we felt that production was almost not giving us any credit.

We all know these people don't work at SUR anymore, so why were we being made to think Jax Taylor is really behind the bar on a Tuesday night, or that Scheana Shay was driving in from Marina Del Rey to serve goat cheese balls? And, what really bothered everyone was this idea that Jax and Brittany were this beautiful happy couple who defied all odds... it was all so... strange. We didn't need four episodes dedicated to the Kentucky fried wedding. We just didn't. And Bravo probably realized all of this that after the backlash and lower ratings on the once fan favorite series.

To that end, we haven't had a new season of Vanderpump Rules in what feels like forever. The last we saw our lil Pumpers was in June of 2020. And since then a lot happened both within in the four walls of SUR and beyond to their Valley Village houses. Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were both fired from the show after racist remarks. Then, shortly after, Jax and Brittany announced they would not be coming back to film Season 9. Thank fucking god, by the way. And then came the babies.
