It’s very telling that Katie posted one slide, and Schwartz posted, like, five. I definitely think it was her decision, but I do worry about the toxic fan response. She has had to pay for his sins SO often, while he gets off as a good ol’ boy. I really hope everyone celebrates Katie for this move, rather than focusing on poor, hurting Schwartzy. 

Sad? I guess? Just… please don’t make the powers that be think this makes a season ten worth it. It doesn’t!!!

Katie has good reason for wanting the divorce. Schwartz always takes the victim role even though he said in his post he doesn't want to be the victim lol. He always wants to be the one that says "Aww Schwartz" so his actions never are held accountable. Love him though he seems sweet. But immature.

I’m sadder about this then I thought I would be! I think I’m starting to realize that I like Tom and I like Katie, but I don’t like Tom and Katie together. I have things I dislike about both of them but mostly about his treatment of her. I agree that it’ll be annoying seeing people go on about how much better off he’ll be. 

Came here to say just this. Everything you mentioned + the I still have so much love and respect for her and her family. 

Here’s the thing. Schwartz is always gonna be the victim. He knows no other role. This will be no different. 

Welp, Schwartz and Katie are splitting up, confirmed by Schwartz himself on IG:

“I don’t think we were ever a model couple. Maybe we are model divorcées.”

It also definitely seems like it was Katie’s choice, or at least they planned it to seem like she wasn’t happy. But that would gel with him wearing a wedding ring and Katie not wearing it. 

The one issue with that though… I feel like it might invite more “poor Schwartz” convo and Katie vilification. Even though anyone who watched the last 10 years knows she has good reason.
