Chris Harrison, you've got some explaining to do. After a rushed Bachelorette season, I have a lot of questions. And, next week, the host is going to be forced to answer. Chris Harrison is hosting a Bachelorette finale cocktail zoom event, and Bachelor Nation's invited.
Harrison will be joining Sourced Craft Cocktails for two separate zoom events — one at 7 p.m. ET, and one at 7 p.m. PT — on finale night, Tuesday, Dec. 22. And according to Entertainment Tonight, he'll be doing much more than just making a few cocktails. At the hourlong event, he's expected to share "an inside look" at Matt James' upcoming Bachelor season, and answer questions in the zoom chat. Of course, space is limited, and fans hoping to score an invite to the Bachelorette finale zoom cocktail party have to be among the first 1,000 people to purchase a Sourced Craft Cocktails First Impression Rose or Final Rose cocktail kits.
Knowing Chris Harrison as I do, I know that it's impossible to really get him to spill anything he doesn't already want to tell you. His hair might not be big, but it's definitely full of secrets. Still, there are a few questions I hope he might be tempted to answer during this cocktail hour. Like, why wasn't Clare invited to the Men Tell All? Will any of these men be considered for a future Bachelor season? Did Bennett personally buy that book for Noah? Was Tayshia's part of the season too rushed? Where did Bennett go after he was sent home the first time? Was he not escorted off the property? And what's with all the turtlenecks?
In addition to these probing questions, there is one thing that's bothering me about this cocktail party. What about After The Final Rose? Traditionally, Bachelorette seasons aren't over until there's a live interview with Harrison, spilling all the details of what happened since that Final Rose. These interviews are usually live on ET, which means that Harrison would have to be doing both the After The Final Rose live interview and the PT cocktail party at the same time. (7 p.m. PT is 10 p.m. ET.) Does this mean we're not getting any post-proposal interviews?
It's possible that Tayshia and whoever she ends up with filmed separate interviews with Harrison post-finale, perhaps after the Men Tell All. But, I would feel cheated if we didn't get an in-real-time update on what her and her Final Four are up to. As happy as I am to see that Harrison will have to face Bachelor Nation at a cocktail party, I'm very skeptical about a season without an After The Final Rose. But... maybe I'm thinking about the timing too much? It's possible Harrison could host a short After The Final Rose interview from 9:30-10 p.m. ET and then just quickly head over to the PT cocktail zoom. My head hurts.
