On Survivor this week, the main takeaway for me is that I am READY for this merge to happen. Across all three tribes, there’s a deep chasm between the Power Players and Everybody Else, allowing the more skilled players to just annihilate. They’re pulling all the strings and facing almost no resistance while they do it.

Don’t get me wrong, I am LOVING watching the Shan Show, and hope the winner’s edit they’re giving her isn’t a pump fake, but what I really can’t wait for is the collision of her Mafia Pastor Skillset with the likes of Evvie, Tiffany, and even Naseer. Get these big fish into BIGGER PONDS!

Let’s break it down by tribe, because why not:

Luvu Tribe

Honestly, we’ve barely gotten to know our Blue Squad because of their relentless winning streak, and the air time they do get is kind of a snooze. All we really know so far is that Naseer’s good at challenges, Sydney’s good at fishing, and that Deshawn really wants to vote out Erika.

Because they’ve never been to Tribal Council, Danny and Deshawn’s broad conversations about throwing a challenge to shake Erika are the only glimpses at strategy we’ve seen out of this team - but it’s enough.

These two have (correctly) identified that Erika is a wildcard and probably not worth keeping around, especially since she proudly announced that she’s Not That Innocent ™ in a game that’s all about preserving the illusion of trust. Listen, I get that Erika’s probably spent her whole life being underestimated but this is the one game where that’s an asset, ENJOY IT.
