I’m not against a spin-off but also recognize nothing will quite be as good as the original, so I feel like everything will be a let down. That said, Better Call Saul did make it so quality spin-offs aren’t completely impossible. 

The Duffer Brothers are revealing some hints about their stranger things spin-off, which, should be noted, is not yet confirmed or in production:

“There's a version of it developing in parallel [to season 5], but they would never shoot it parallel. I think actually we're going to start delving into that soon as we're winding down and finishing these visual effects, Matt and I are going to start getting into it."

Of course we don’t know what’s coming in season 5, but it means I’ll be watching out more…
