The significance of that one S4E1 scene

Obviously, spoilers ahead!

I think my favorite scene of the entire season 4 so far is episode 1's D&D scene. Not only because it's so much fun (a stand-out scene for Erica, Dustin, AND Eddie), but also because I'm guessing it has a lot of significance this season.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a repeat of what happened during the game. Think about it: It was our first introduction to "Vecna" (at least, D&D's version of it), so you know it's going to figure in with the end. Plus, there's the fact that they all thought Vecna was dead, until Eddie told them, no, he was VERY much alive. (Guessing we'll have a fake-out Vecna death in one of the final episodes.) And then, finally, Dustin rolls an 11, which is not enough. Eleven! That points to El not being able to tackle Vecna on her own. (No doubt he's much stronger than he was even back when he was an orderly at Hawkins Lab.)

I'm sure there are even more small moments that will play in, but I gotta think it's a scene full of Easter Eggs for later in the season.
