The last few episodes have been sort of a chill out for the cast of Siesta Key, but Wednesday's episode had so much going on, I could hardly keep up. Tate, Amanda, Jordana, Brandon… They all had some pretty interesting moments, but there's only one that will haunt me as this season winds down, and that, of course, is the Chloe, Juliette, and Kelsey drama from Madisson’s birthday party.

While the shit did not necessarily hit the fan (because Kelsey walked away and chose not to ruin her bestie’s birthday; can’t say the same for Chloe) there were some notes to be taken.

So, Madisson's birthday party theme was “Empathy," which, OK. That's a little nail on the head and not really a birthday party theme whatsoever, but she gets credit for trying to make her day about mending others and for raising awareness about mental health. Anyway, she got cute sweaters for everyone (printed with the word "empathy" of course) and explained that the group had been through a lot in the last year while filming, so she just wanted everyone to get along for the night (hence the theme) and didn't want, you know, any fighting. Less arguing, more sharing of selfies in "empathy" sweatshirts.

And it kinda worked. Even Camilla was able to be calm and civil while talking to Brandon. It was all going according to plan until Chloe inserted herself. Now, normally that's when we all sort of roll our eyes, but here’s the thing, I didn’t mind her meddling this time (until she lied) because to some degree ... Chloe was right.
