Midway through Selling Tampa, Sharelle Rosado and her fiancé Chad Johnson receive some exciting news: they're expecting their first baby together. As viewers can tell from Sharelle's emotional reaction that's one twist she wasn't expecting in the first season of her reality show, but the Allure brokerage founder's excitement made it clear her baby news is a happy surprise. However, now that the cameras have stopped rolling on Season 1 it's hard not to wonder what Sharelle and Chad's relationship status is now.
Throughout the first season, Sharelle and Chad are shown working hard to make their long-distance relationship work. With Sharelle in Tampa and Chad in Miami, it wasn't always easy for them to prioritize quality time. At one point, the army vet even revealed that they had an on-again, off-again relationship in the past, but because they both have kids from previous relationships, they knew it was time to get serious if they wanted their romance to last. For Sharelle that meant deciding it was time to delegate some of the work at Allure's Tampa office to facilitate a move to Miami where Chad is based (and where she is expanding Allure).
"I'm a businesswoman," Sharelle recently said in an Entertainment Tonight interview. "When I was in the military, we relocate, but we still have our main place of duty. Allure Realty is my main place of duty. This is my baby. So, I just know how to multitask. That's why you delegate. Delegation is the key."
For her part, Sharelle already has three kids — Ariana, 15, Marcus, 13, and Denim, 5 — and being a mom and running her business remain her top priorities. Meanwhile, Chad is a former NFL player who has seven children from previous relationships. In 2012, Chad was married to Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada. The couple divorced after less than a year of marriage when Lozada alleged that he headbutted her during an argument. He was subsequently arrested on misdemeanor domestic battery charges.
As for Sharelle and Chad, the two met sometime in 2019 when the Allure broker decided to slide into her longtime crushes DMs. On an episode of the I Am Athlete podcast, she shared they don't often tell people how their relationship really started. "I slid in his DM," she said. "We used to tell — the joke was, we met off Christian Mingle, but I actually slid in his DMs."
In January 2021, Chad asked Sharelle to marry him, and it wasn't long after that they discovered they have a baby girl on the way. "It was shocking. I think I was crying and laughing at the same time," Sharelle told People. "I just can't wait. It's actually going by so fast. I found out I was pregnant while we were filming, so time is flying."
As of December, the couple is still going strong as they await the birth of their baby. On August 16, Sharelle officially shared the news that she's pregnant on Instagram. She captioned the photo, "It's with full hearts, a ton of joy, and love to reveal… We're expecting! It's been so hard keeping this a secret but I'm excited to finally share the news with all of you! We're so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives and in our hearts. Looking forward to a future of fun, love and adventure."
Between their baby news and Sharelle spending more time in Miami, it sounds like viewers may see more of Chad if Selling Tampa returns for Season 2. For now, the famous pair are focusing on their expanding family and Allure's expansion into a whole new section of Florida realty.
