Yeah I don’t think it’s fake. I think that she is British but living in the states and being around our accent for years, she probably has picked up how we speak. Just like how ex pats pick up the British accent when living there. 

Oh my gosh I’m so glad you brought this up it’s not sus at all she literally was born and went to freaking school in London and also lives in the cali so her accent is a mix of valley girl versus London girl. Not to mention she is Nigerian. People who have lived in different countries get it but even people who have lived in multiple regions get it. I know someone who has a southern twang and a new yawk mix of an accent. What IS sus is that she’s only 29 

Obviously there is SO much that is scripted/dramatized for this show. And I love every second of it.  But I just had to share this TikTok I just saw that shows that Chelsea’s accent seems to fade into the sunset as the conversation goes on… specifically with the word “party.”

I hear it but … what do you guys think? Convinced she’s playing it up? Do you even care at this point?
