Why are housewives singing?

Last night on RHONJ Melissa took the ladies out to a recording studio to record a song, and last week on RHOC the women formed a band and recorded music. Why is this happening?

Did someone tell Andy Cohen that we wanted this and he ran with it? He needs to make it stop. I was cringing so hard especially when Melissa started belting out the lyrics as if she was Celine Dion.

I hope we don’t have to endure this again.
