Cody Rigsby's Cha-Cha Was Out For Blood On 'DWTS'

The Boo Crew knew he had it in him, the Pelo Fam knew he had it in him, and now America knows he has it in him. After a rough start to the competition, Cody and Cheryl were quite literally out for blood during Horror Week on DWTS. The pair danced an America Psycho inspired Cha-Cha to "There Will Be Blood" By Kim Petras (which Cody has subtly played on his most recent Live From L.A. rides) and the two, excuse the pun, truly did slay the competition.

The character. The footwork. The hips. The lines. The connection. The knee slides (I'm a sucker for a knee slide). He nailed it. Not to mention the prop work with an axe throw at the end? What truly impressed me (a dance teacher) the most is how much he has improved week after week. I have commented before on how he needs to loosen up his hips and boy, oh boy those hips don't lie. I also have mentioned before how he needs to work on the point of his foot. This is important for emphasizing the line of the whole leg. Those lines last night were chef's kiss.

The judges also loved it! After being pretty hard on him over the past couple of weeks, Cody finally got the praise that he deserves. Carrie Ann told him that he was "amazing tonight." Len told him that he's been waiting for him "to get out here and really show us your potential, and tonight you have done it." Derek told him it was his "best dance" and complemented him on his technique (about time y'all noticed that!). Finally, Bruno found him "guilty of murdering the dance floor." Cody received all 9s making this his highest score yet!

We have one of my all time favorite artist as the theme next week: QUEEN. Cody as Freddie Mercury is going to give me everything I have every wanted. I can't wait.
