- Pelo Talk -The 12 Best Broadway Rides On Peloton, So You Can Be The Star
I am a huge Broadway fan... so much so that I went to college for Musical Theatre. There is nothing more magical to me than when the lights in the house go down, and the orchestra's overture swells, and the curtain goes up. The drama. The dancing. The voices. The spectacle. I love it all! So naturally when I see a Broadway Peloton ride on the schedule, I already know I am taking it.
I am someone who is very music driven during my workouts. When I feel like I'm dying (which is most of the time ) and a song of epic proportions comes on, I am pushed to that next level (...specifically if it's "Defying Gravity" or "My Shot").
Being pretty knowledgable about the Broadway industry made narrowing this list down very hard for me. But without further ado, here are 12 of the best Broadway rides on Peloton... Curtains please.
This is one of my favorite rides that I have ever taken. I love it so much that I have taken it multiple times. I almost never repeat classes so this is a big deal for me.
Songs you can expect: The Greatest Showman soundtrack
Wicked is iconic and one of my favorite musicals of all time. I just couldn't not include this ride on this list. Try not to scream the final note in "Defying Gravity." Actually, scream it. Leanne would want you to.
Songs you can expect: The Wicked soundtrack
As soon as I saw this playlist had "The Bitch of Living" from Spring Awakening on it, I knew I had to include it. This is one of my favorite songs to put on and dance around to, pretending I'm a teen boy in a German boarding school in the late 19th Century... but maybe that's just me.
Songs you can expect: "On Broadway," "The Bitch of Living," "This is Me"
I love Disney rides. I love Broadway rides. So a Disney on Broadway ride? Yes please!
Songs you can expect: "Fortune Favors The Brave," "Two Worlds," and "Step in Time"
From Rent to Chicago to Hamilton, this Broadway ride celebrating Black History Month also celebrates some of the best voices in the Broadway industry.
Songs you can expect: "Circle of Life," "Satisfied," and "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going"
This ride features some bad ass anthems by some true Broadway legends: Idina Menzel, Chita Rivera, Jessie Mueller, Elaine Paige, Patti Lupone, Audra McDonald, Linda Eder, Patina Miller, and Ethel Merman.
Songs you can expect: "Holding Out For a Hero!," "Big, Blonde, and Beautiful," and "Don't Rain on My Parade"
For fans of the cult classic, Rocky Horror Picture Show, this class is a requirement. Let your freak flag fly (...which is a song from Shrek The Musical — which sadly isn't on any of these playlists) and don't wait until next Halloween for this one.
Songs you can expect: The Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack
Get ready for a love letter to New York in Christine's 45 minute Rent ride. It's emotional, it's powerful, and it will make you sweat.
Songs you can expect: The Rent soundtrack.
This ride features anthems that will make you feel like you can do anything! (P.s., I highly recommend taking Sam's Pride: Broadway Ride as well.)
Songs you can expect: "The Greatest Show," "Seize the Day," and "My Shot"
I mean, can it get any better than Rent and Hamilton with a splash of Dear Evan Hansen? This ride could also be accurately titled,"Robin's 20 Minute Sing-A-Long Ride."
Songs you can expect: "The Schuyler Sisters," "Take Me or Leave Me," and "La Vie Boheme"
Umm, this playlist has Mean Girls on it. Need I say more? (Also The Last 5 Years and Songs For a New World!?!? Love me some Jason Robert Brown.)
Songs you can expect: "Good Morning Baltimore," "Moving Too Fast," and "Someone Gets Hurt"
Get ready of some classic Broadway tunes, and multiple songs written by the late, great Stephen Sondheim.
Songs you can expect: "If I Were a Rich Man," "Money," "Send In the Clowns"
This ride is truly epic. You will be singing and dancing the entire time.
Songs you can expect: The Hamilton soundtrack
