Diana Gabaldon knows how to keep busy. Even as she finishes the ninth book in the Outlander series, Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone, she has made time to write scripts for the Outlander TV show, produce other Outlander stories like Lord John Grey novels and a short story about Roger's parents, and even write the foreword to Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish's book Clanlands.
While we've grown accustomed to receiving Daily Lines from Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone (there have already been more than 60 of them!), we know less about the future companion novels she has in the works, including books about Master Raymond and a Jamie's parents.
While Outlander Books 9 and 10 are clearly the main priority for fans, here's what we know so far about the other Outlander books Gabaldon has promised outside of Jamie and Claire's main story.
1. The Master Raymond Book (Or Books)
This Halloween is not the first time Gabaldon shared the the Master Raymond excerpt — in fact, sharing the spooky opening lines of Master Raymond's book is a bit of a Halloween tradition for Gabaldon with her posting them in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Beyond this prologue, she has provided other excerpts of the book as well. For Halloween 2014, she gave a glimpse of Master Raymond as an 11-year-old boy and posted a scene involving a snake with the hashtag #NoIHaveNOIdeaWhenThisWillBeDone. In December 2017, she provided a more wintry-themed excerpt.
