The 'Outlander' Cast Tease Season 6 Spoilers & Confirm The Arrival Of The Christies To Fraser's Ridge

Although 2020 might not have been the type of year where any Christmas miracles occurred, the Outlander cast provided fans with a pretty miraculous gift this holiday season in the form of Outlander Season 6 spoilers. On Dec. 25, Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Richard Rankin, and Sophie Skelton shared some intel about the forthcoming season for a Starz Christmas social media video. As they hung out in the wardrobe department, the Outlander cast teased some big Season 6 plots, including a new character book readers have been not-so-eagerly anticipating. Spoiler alert for Book 6, A Breath of Snow and Ashes.

After delays due to COVID-19, production on Outlander Season 6 is gearing up. Balfe said in the video, "Prep is getting underway," and that they're working to get Outlander to fans "as soon as possible." The cast admittedly couldn't give away too much about the new season — as Skelton amusingly noted, "So spoiler alert... is that I actually can't give that many spoilers for Season 6." But the actor behind James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser did spill some significant details.

After saying, there are "many, many more settlers coming to Fraser's Ridge," Heughan got specific by saying that both Tom and Malva Christie are joining this season. "We have a new character, but he's not so new to Jamie," Heughan said. "Tom Christie is one of Jamie's ancient foes. He comes to Fraser's Ridge and tries to take a bit of power, actually. So it's bit of a power play." As Heughan acknowledged, Tom was at Ardsmuir Prison with Jamie back in the 1750s. But what the actor didn't say is that Jamie's former fellow inmate develops a bit of a crush on Claire.
