It’s probably tied to America’s obsession with girls being gorgeous and sexy while simultaneously  innocent and virginal. Very interesting observation though! 

This weekend, I was listening to the radio, and a Dido song from her album "No Angel" came on. It led me down a rabbit hole, which led me to realize: the late '90s and early 2000s were obsessed with angels.

Meanwhile, I can't think of a single angel from the last 10 years. What was it about the '90s and early 2000s that made pop culture so obsessed with angels??
