I loved YM. I would save all the good ones over the year and bring them to summer camp so we could all read them together! 

And I was once featured in Twist Magazine 😂 They wanted to run a story about a teen age love triangle and needed a “model”. I posed with a guy I didn’t know and the photoshoot was at my house. Very weird come to think of it

I liked Teen Vogue!! But I can’t remember anything super specific from it.

I was obsessed with American Girl Magazine, which was actually quite educational and fun, and I’m sad it doesn’t exist anymore. I remember being blown away by 1) a feature about young girls who grew up in the circus (they all had sparkly makeup that I was so jealous of), and 2) a sleepover feature that taught you how to make ice cream that looked like cake and cake that looked like ice cream. 

I was obsessed with YM as a pre-teen, and Teen People as a teen. My favorite part of YM was the embarrassing stories section, which were, like, 95% about girls getting their periods while wearing white pants, but were still fun to read anyway. Years later, I heard from a friend of a friend that all embarrassing stories in teen mags were completely made up by staff members, which still kind of burns to this day.
