I think I've posted about this song before, but Timberland's "The Way I Are"...he's got no money, rents a room in a house, wants to "go dutch" on a date.. dude is a loser. Can't even buy me flowers!! Yeesh. I don't need a man to pay for everything but it's nice to be treated once in a while!!

Way back in the 1950s and into the 60s songs about guys going after underage girls were common. Some examples: She was just 17, you know what I mean (the Beatles), Go away little girl I’m not supposed to be in love with you (Steve Lawrence), You’re 16, You’re beautiful, and You’re mine (multiple artists). The ultimate was Gary Puckett, whose songs included Young Girl get out of my mind, my love for you is way outta line, and This Girl is a woman now. Truly creepy, look these up.

Oh so many. But one that kills me comes from Whatta Man by Salt-N-Pepa (I’m aging myself) - “spends quality time with his kids when he can…” 

It’s the qualifier for me: As if spending  quality time with his kids “WHEN HE CAN” makes him such an amazing man 

What is a song with some questionable lyrics? It doesn’t have to be super messed up like your average rock and rap songs that talk about drugs sex and killing but just songs that just have some questionable lyrics. 

Mine is Glamorous by Fergie when she says that her dad told her when she was a little girl that if she didn’t have any money to take her broke ass home. Like… that’s sound advice. But I wonder what age did he give her the advice?
