OMG my friend texted me last night about how bad it was! What a shame. (I ended up watching Marry Me and was literally so happy with it -- it was actually good!). I feel like the issue is Ben. He only has chemistry with Matt.

Well, the ultimate has to be Rob and Kristen, right? But who knows whether that was lack of chemistry with each other, or with the material. 

I also found Kit and Rose to be more cringy together on GoT, even though I love them as a couple. But that could have been the writing. 

I feel like if my SO and I had to act out our relationship, I would be SO uncomfortable and awkward, so, in a sense, I get it. But, then again, I'm not an actor. 

Madonna and Sean Penn come to mind (Madonna and most people, in fact). Also, I might be alone in this, but I thought Reese and Ryan were uber-creepy together in Cruel Intentions. 

Over the weekend I watched the hot mess that is the direct-to-Hulu thriller Deep Water, starring exes Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas. This movie has all the ingredients to be sexy, from the hot leads to its source material (it's based off Patricia Highsmith's novel of the same name) to the fact that it's directed by none other than Adrian Lyne, who is known for making sexy thrillers like Fatal Attraction and Unfaithful. 

The movie is a campy disaster and Affleck and de Armas have subzero chemistry in it. When I wasn't trying to piece together the inane plot, I spent most of the runtime wondering, "Wait, these two hooked up in real life?!" They both look incredible on screen here, but everything about them as an on-screen couple rang so incredibly false. Even their kisses were cringe-worthy. I can only chalk it up to these two saving all the good stuff for when the cameras stopped rolling. 

Of course, Affleck is no stranger to this, as he and one-time ex J.Lo made the famously awful Gigli. Similarly, they were great together for the paparazzi cameras and terrible when a director yelled "Action!"
