I do tend to agree but sometimes it begs the question ARE these people actually good actors or they just super charming celebs who are hot which is all Marvel asks them to be. Also I think some actors do get a little “comfortable” there because they know with Marvel it will be a definite success.

I wouldn’t fret with Sydney too much because she is for real talented. Scarlett Johansson made it work and was able to have other big time roles while working the Marvel circuit. 

Paul Rudd’s filmography is actually sort of proof that we can still get some interesting stuff out of Marvel actors, even if it’s just on TV vs. movies. I didn’t love Living With Yourself as much as I should have, but it was still interesting. 

I am sick of the swole transformations, though. Do all superheroes need to be buff? Didn’t Adam West teach us otherwise? 😆

Could not agree more! I get that it's probably an impossible paycheck to turn down but I'd rather see these actors in literally anything else. 

If Marvel and DC just disappeared I wouldn’t be upset

I like a Marvel movie as much as the next person. But, upon hearing the news that Sydney Sweeney got cast in Madame Web, I'm starting to get a little annoyed. I love that some of my favorite actors are getting the opportunity to make bank with Marvel, but as soon as they get sucked into the universe, it's hard for them to have time to commit to any other interesting projects. 

I LOVED when RDJ redefined what a superhero could be (and this was before all Marvel superheroes  had to go through a swole transformation), but, at this point, it's almost gone too far. Mark Ruffalo, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson... we've gotten bits and pieces of them in other works (Paul in Shrink Next Door, Chris Evans in Knives Out, to name a few highlights), but their IMDBs are filled with mostly Marvel-adjacent projects. What I would give to go see a Paul Rudd Comedy in the theaters that feels fresh and doesn't demand a new set of abs!   

Marvel, please stope hogging all of our interesting actors.
