how was it!? very curious how RP did post twilight era

Omg is it really 3 hours?? I was thinking the same thing a few weeks ago when I was checking to see what was playing at the movies. I saw one movie that was over 180 minutes and I was like...that can't be. I did the math multiple times and was like, holy cow. PLUS, as a woman, I am absolutely going to have to use the bathroom at some point in any movie that's longer then 2 hours and I'm going to be mad that I missed *something*

I read recently that the main reason for the 90-minute movie in the '90s was because it had to fit on a single VHS tape. Given that's not a limitation anymore, directors are going hog-wild, and are entirely unable to edit themselves. Plus, I think studios want to prove to theatergoers that they're getting their money's worth.

But I would pay MORE money for movies to be shorter and get me home at a reasonable hour.

It takes a lot of restraint to make a 90-minute movie, and they're often better off for it. I watched Men in Black a few weeks back — it gets the job done in 90 minutes. Shouldn't be a minute longer, or a minute shorter. It's perfection. 

And if you know me, you know that I’m an avid comic book/superhero reader and watcher. I’m more of a Marvel guy, but DC gets all of my money too. WITH THAT BEING SAID… will we ever go back to the days of movies being 1.5-2 hours? As excited as I am about this movie, there’s this little voice in the back of my head that keeps screaming, “IT’S THREE HOURS! IT’S THREE HOURS! NOT ONE, NOT TWO, BUT THREE!” I never stress length in my home, but something about being confined To a movie theater seat without the option of a bathroom break just… ugh, I don’t know. At least I get to stare at Pattinson and Kravitz for that long. Silver linings, AMIRITE?!

Going to see The Batman tonight…
