Amy Adams is (still) coming for that Oscar

Amy Adams has worked with her fair share of Oscar-friendly directors (Steven Spielberg, Paul Thomas Anderson, David O. Russell) and garnered six Academy Award nods to date, but she has yet to bring home the gold yet. But, something tells me her first pairing with director Marielle Heller just might do the trick.

The two powerhouses are teaming up for the silver screen adaptation of the novel Nightbitch, which sounds like the title of a Tracy Jordan movie on 30 Rock, but it's a legit great book!

Adams will get to really sink her teeth into this very dark comedy and Heller has a track record of getting her stars nominations (including Melissa McCarthy in Can You Ever Forgive Me? and Tom Hanks in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood) so this one is feeling like the one! What do you think? Will this finally get Adams her Oscar or is she gonna have to do a boring biopic like everyone else?
