I think it depends -- funny enough I waited to see Batman until it came out at home bc I know there's no way I can sit through the movie without having to go to the bathroom! But in general if I feel unsure about a movie, I'll default to see it at home. (Mostly bc I don't want to spend $40 on a bad movie!)

I am seriously right with you. Shout out to HBO Max! My thoughts/feelings exactly.

I feel like I've stopped going to the movies for a certain movie, and instead just feel like I want to have a theater experience and pick whatever is there. 

I love watching new movies at home .... feels like I'm getting away with something. That said, I do look forward to going to see a movie soon!! Maybe Everything Everywhere All At Once.

If it's a movie I've been dying to see or demands to be seen on the big screen, absolutely not. I am going to the movies. I missed it so much during the pandemic. 

However, if it's one that I probably would have waited for streaming in the first place, then yes. 

We go with Red Box babeee! Haha we don't have HBO Max so we miss out on a lot of new movies that come to streaming. But Red Box is so cheap. Watched a lot of the Oscars movies right before the ceremony that way.

I'm def late to the party but I finally saw The Batman this week since it was just added to HBO Max. I loved every second of it and so glad I was finally able to watch. 

Here's the thing, I'm totally ok with missing a theatrical release and waiting for something to come to streaming. I purposely avoid any press around it and quickly scroll past news on social media. Is anyone else like this? It's not that I'm done with going to the movies, I'll still go for the right one I want to see in theaters. But there's just something so convenient to just wait until I can stream from my living room in my pjs. 

Maybe I'm still working through pandemic fears, maybe I want to save a few bucks. But I like waiting for stuff to come to streaming.
