That film is too (and often annoyingly) pure of heart to imply anything otherwise. I think we are meant to see it as extraordinarily poetic that Forrest’s son is a smart little lad. I would love if there was any darkness to the plot at all, but… no chance. 

"Blood Gump" is such a turn of phrase. But yeah that's definitely his kid. 

Yes I think it was clear that Jr is a blood gump. Jenny was just sleepy from years of partying and excessive drug use. When she was at forest’s house she felt safe and like she could finally rest. 

I always assumed sleepy Jenny meant sick Jenny. I love a good movie conspiracy theory, but this one feels like a reach. The movie wasn’t the most subtle movie — I mean, remember the smiley face tee? — so if that’s what they were trying to imply, I’m pretty sure they would have forced it down us. 

So this theory is recirculating and I never thought twice about it because in my mind Forrest jr is Forrest Gumps blood.

But now people are saying when Jenny showed up she was sleepy because she was already preggo. Then also they’re saying Jenny and Forrest might not have hooked up because it didn’t happen on camera. It was just implied.

But people like me who think that Forrest jr is definitely a blood gump believe the director made it clear that that was his son.
