Take a deep breath. Relax. Let it sink in. I am here to tell you (which, I am sure you know what I am about to say from the headline) that Joe Fox from You've Got Mail is a '90s Bezos nightmare with better hair. Or maybe I should refer to him as "NY152." And it is time that we as a society except the fact that he's not a good guy. I get we want to love him, trust me I do, it's Tom fucking Hanks, COVID-survivor, father of Chet... what's not to love? Well, let me tell you.

First let me just state the obvious, Joe Fox is an emotional cheater. He is in a relationship with Patricia Eden, and right away in the first scene you see him rolling his eyes and, a lot of sighing. We've all been in relationships with people that we shouldn't have been, but the difference is, Joe acts like he doesn't even want to be with Patricia. He finds her shallow, annoying, and too high strung. As she leaves for work, he carefully watches her leave, peeks through the window to make sure she is gone to then run to his shitty little laptop where he proceeds to cheat on his girlfriend with a woman he only knows as "Shopgirl."

Now you're probably thinking, "Kathleen Kelly is doing the same thing with Frank," and yes she is, you are correct, but that is the only thing Kathleen does wrong, because she is a perfect little shop keeper who loves pumpkins and bouquets of freshly sharpened pencils. Whereas Joe, well, he's frankly a demon.
