Who are Travis Barker’s parents?

I was watching the Kardashians earlier and it was the episode where Travis Barker proposed to Kourtney Kardashian. We’ve heard so much about the Kardashians parents and we got to know Scott Disick’s parents before they unfortunately passed away.

Travis said the most beautiful thing when he was talking about how he knew Kourtney Kardashian was the one. He said that his father (Randy Barker) woke him up in the middle of the night to tell him that Kourtney Kardashian reminded him of his mother (Gloria Barker) who passed away When Travis was only 13 years old.

Although Travis has always been a rockstar drummer and had his own reality show, I did not know much about his parents so I Wikipedia’d his life.

It turns out that his father was a mechanic and his mother was a babysitter. His mother suffered from an auto immune disease called Sjorgren syndrome (that affects the moisture producing glands and major organs) three months before he started high school. She unfortunately died before his first day. She actually told him to keep playing music and follow his dreams. I think the bonding over losing a parent at a young age is something that he and Kourtney have in common.
