Moms literally make everything better. It’s hard to measure up. 

Also, my husband makes an excellent lasagna. Not sure I could ever replicate it anywhere. 

My mother is an excellent chef, and I can’t even understand how to interpret most of her recipes, never mind execute them. 

She makes incredible quiches, and I can’t seem to make one that’s even fully formed. I don’t know how I missed getting that gene. 

Oh my goodness. I would die to have anything my grandma ever made again. There are just some recipes that my entire family try to replicate, but every time, it is still just not as good as her magic touch. Best cook I ever knew.

so since being at home for spring break, i'm starting to realize that there's certain things that just don't taste the same when being made by someone else. for example, i rly miss porridge and spring rolls made by my grandma, and no matter how perfectly i remake the recipe - it ends up tasting not the same.

do you guys relate at all? and if so, what is your not replicable delicacy, and who important in your life has a hand in creating this delicious treat?
