Seamless/Grubhub used to be the best — not only were the fees reasonable, BUT you knew the restaurants would send their own people out. Something changed recently and  not only are their fees as crazy as UE, but now you almost never know where the delivery is coming from. I’ve actually tried to cut back on ordering because the fees are legit 20% of the order. 

I believe the most cost and time efficient and highest quality is ordering from places with their own delivery drivers on staff. I don’t have to pay an extra app fee on top of the delivery fee and tip like the apps, and it always arrives much faster and actually hot. I know in some cities that can limit the options, but it’s the best result. Otherwise, I drive and go pick it up. I’ve never had good luck with Uber Eats or Deliveroo.

So I know it’s bad but I order food A LOT, like honestly it’s to the point where I barely cook. And it’s actually weird because I feel like my cooking skills are superior but I just haven’t been in the mood to put them to use. Out of all the food delivery apps I use Uber Eats the most and I’m not sure if this is the best one out of the bunch.. but I’m just so familiar with it. Please let me know if there is one that is more cost efficient. I brought this question to my mom earlier and of course she just recommended that I get my a** up and cook, but that’s just not the answer that I want to hear today. I just wanna open my door, grab my food, and proceeded on with my day.
