Overhearing first dates is where it’s at. They never seem enjoyable to be on, but as a bystander, it’s fun!

My friend and I went to a baseball game last summer and a group of older men sat behind us and were talking stats and whatnot and one of the men sounded EXACTLY like John Ratzenberger so it was just three hours of play-by-plays by Hamm from Toy Story. We were transfixed. We stopped talking to each other so we could listen to him. It was hilarious and delightful.

The other day, I was walking down the street and heard someone on the phone:

“We’d been looking for decades, and who knew, it would be buried all this time in the front yard.”

My mind immediately went to dead body because I’m deranged, but what could it mean???

I was at a baseball game and in front of me sat a granddaughter and her granddad. They were so cute and had a great relationship. I could see her texting on her phone, though, and she was sending THE craziest sexts to her boyfriend. Really X rated stuff. I was DYING

I once saw someone throw a glass of wine in her date's face and storm out. DYING to know what he said/did. It was absolutely thrilling for the entire restaurant. 

I once heard a man telling a kid that “he’d put holes in <someone who crossed him>.” The kid was eating it up as if storing the info for future use. Weirdest mentoring session I’ve witnessed. 

I also love listening in on parenting. I think it's so funny when a parent has to explain something basic to their small child, who doesn't know better. For example, this weekend I saw a parent explain to an impatient child why they need to wait to board the airplane. Just random little things parents have to explain are so funny. 

What is the best thing you’ve overheard, while out somewhere? Once I was on a plane and watched two people meet, talk the whole flight, and seemingly fall in love. It was cute for two hours, got a little annoying after that (5 hour flight) but they went viral on twitter so that was fun.
