One hot dog? Even though I'd bet good money Usain Bolt has never had one, I think he could take this contest easily. 

This would be a phenomenally fun event to actually watch. This brings me back to Fox reality TV of the early 2000's (anyone else remember the Glutton Bowl??), and just makes me wish they'd make a show with a concept like this.

This one's really tough, but I think my money's on Usain Bolt. But it may come down to how strict they are about having fully swallowed before you're allowed to start running.

Now this would get people to tune into the Olympics!

I say it depends if they have time to train. I fully believe, given a few weeks, Usain will figure out how to down a hot dog fast enough to ultimately beat Joey. That said, he also has to eat enough carbs altogether to not have food cramps. That takes time.

Usain can run 100M in less than 10 seconds, and an average person can run it in about 20 seconds. 

Joey eats a hot dog in roughly 8 seconds, based on 76 hot dogs in 10 minutes. But that’s also all 76 hot dogs — I think we can assume Joey’s first is eaten in less than 8 seconds. 

We don’t know Usain’s hot dog eating speed, or Joey’s running speed, but based on this… I gotta go with Joey. I think he could do it. 

Who do you think could do this faster: eat a hot dog with a bun and then immediately run 100m, Joey Chestnut or Usain Bolt?
