New Girl is a great one. (Binged it twice during the pandemic.) I also love the procedures, especially if you’ve seen them before (if you haven’t, you might find yourself sucked in). 

OK I see a lot of people talk about background TV shows and I could never! I get too distracted. I generally put on a low-fi beats playlist. Miami hotel pool music, if you will. I get too sucked into TV

Frasier is an excellent background show, the plot is the same every episode so you never have to pay attention and they all have soothing voices. (Also a great show for falling asleep to!) 

I love throwing on old episodes of Criminal Minds as background if you’re into the dark and murdery thing. If not Gilmore girls and Bobs Burgers are my feel good ones. I second all the recs saying early 99s sitcoms too. 

Law & Order: SVU for sure. There's something oddly calming about it. Also, any old '90s sitcom, whether Friends, Seinfeld, etc. 

I don’t know if I’m the only one who has to have some type of background noise going on at all points of the day, but it’s a must. Most of the time it’s just my sound machine, but when I’m busy with chores or answering emails, I always turn on a show that I like but don’t have to necessarily pay attention too at all times. Just background noise! 

The Office was always my go-to until it was removed from Netflix (que the tears) so now I do New Girl! And occasionally Friends because it’s such a classic.
